The view from Norman Wood Farm in the beautiful Goyt Valley where, as part of our Skills Training project, we keep a flock of free-range hens.

Our Free-range eggs project is an approved Social Enterprise. Eggs are sold under the Good News label to help cover our operating costs.

WHY NOT PLACE A REGULAR ORDER AND SUPPORT THE PROJECT?

Image: tray of eggsSome points that may influence you:

(1) You'll be helping needy young people to gain valuable work experience.

(2) You'll get fresher eggs: Commercially produced eggs (even free-range) can be weeks old by the time they reach your kitchen. There's nothing wrong with this - eggs have a long shelf life - but we believe "Fresher is Better" - that's why Good News eggs are only a matter of days old.

(3) Happier hens! During the day our hens are free to roam in and out of their barn at our Goyt Valley farm. They are fed on good, wholesome poultry feed and fresh water.

FARMERS' MARKET

Be sure to visit our stall at the Farmers Market - held under cover at the Octagon in Buxton's picturesque Pavilion Gardens. Buxton Farmers Market gives local people and visitors to the town an opportunity to buy food and products directly from local farmers, producers and craftspeople.

Farmers' Markets at the Octagon

Buxton Farmers' Markets are held in the beautiful Victorian Concert Hall, known locally as the 'Octagon' due to its shape.

The elegant cast iron and steel structure was designed by local architect Robert Rippon Duke. It opened to the public in 1875.
