Nursery

Day Nursery and Pre-school centre:  Buxton, High Peak, Derbyshire

Good News Family Care Nursery offers an excellent caring environment for children in a safe Christian environment.

The nursery was established in 1995 and is staffed by committed Christians who have a desire to share God’s love in the community.

The team of nursery practitioners employed to work directly with the children include one team member with Early Years professional status who is also a qualified teacher, one Primary School Teacher and one experienced Brazilian teacher who holds a degree in Education and Pedagogy. The Coordinator holds an NNEB certificate (Level 3) with over 20 years’ experience. The manager is an NNEB qualified nursery professional who has many years of experience in nursery schools and private nurseries, having managed day nurseries for over 30 years. She regularly meets with the coordinator in a supervisory and supportive capacity.

We specialise in providing excellent care with far smaller than average numbers of children each day. This ensures that there is plenty of opportunity for both individual attention and small group activities.

Government funded child-care is undertaken for eligible children. Whether your child is awarded 15 hours or 30 hours a week, our nursery provides a caring and secure environment where their individual needs will be catered for.

Opening times:
Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, children may attend for periods from three hours to a full day. Open all year with the exception of Bank Holidays. 2 weeks in August and the week between Christmas and New Year.

Additional information

We serve the local community by providing high quality pre-school education for all children – regardless of their parent/carer’s financial status. Costs must be covered of course, but profit is not what motivates us. Parents who are experiencing financial difficulty are encouraged to talk to our nursery supervisor – and not stop bringing their child, (or hesitate to register them for a place). We do our best to help in cases of genuine hardship.
